GENERAL SCHOOL POLICY

1. Rizq Islamic School teacher qualification at least possesses a Bachelor of Education in the subject assigned or equivalent qualification.

2. We offer a ‘Play Based Learning’ as our main teaching or learning concept.

3. We cater the age range of 7 to 12 years old.

4. Rizq Islamic School has set a class-size limit of 25 with one teacher per class.

5. We are highly focused on providing the best safety and security possible whether for the students, parents or visitors. The 3 layers of security provided Rizq Islamic School are:

  • Fully gated and CCTV surveillance at the school areas
  • Parent/ Guardian access card are provided for identification purpose. If no Parent/Guardian access card the parents need to sign in and out at the visitor’s record book when visiting the school, being escorted when walking through the building and wearing a visitor pass.
  • All parents are required to signing in and out at the logbook during sending and picking up the student.

6. We concern on developing good attendance and punctuality to give the children the best chances in life. The school is aiming to achieve an attendance target of 80% for every term. If a student’s attendance falls below 80% and a parent fails to inform school a letter is sent home raising the concern as to the child’s attendance dipping. (Attendance awareness purpose).

The school expects its students and parents to:

  • To attend regularly and on time.
  • To be prepared adequately for the school day.
  • To comply with the school policies and procedures.
  • To encourage their children to attend school every day, on time.
  • To contact the school if absence.
  • To arrange holidays and medical appointments outside school hours.
  • To regularly update emergency contact details.

7. Admin management should be informed ahead if parents wish to visit and make a suitable time for an appointment regarding complain purpose only in administrative office, agreed upon by the management.

8. The teachers only responsible for reviewing student’s performance.

9. Rizq Islamic School is committed to providing students with good healthy meals to create healthy minds and bodies. All students are encouraged to eat school meals to gain the nourishment they need for high performance in the classroom and beyond. The nutrition menus served are based on 7 to 12 year old serving that satisfies the meal requirements for each meal/snack.

10. Rizq Islamic School is concerned with the general well-being, health and safety of the students during school hours. Starting on 1st February 2017, temperature body for every student that presented with certain alarming symptoms and signs will be taken on the spot. For the good health of all of students, please do not send your child to school if they exhibit the following symptoms:

  • Watery Eyes
  • Deep Cough
  • Inflamed Nostrils
  • High Fever
  • Diarrhea
  • Rashes
  • Contagious Diseases
  • Head Lice
  • Acute asthmatic attack

11. Emergency case:

  • No life threatening case the child will be place at the administrative office for the ‘basic per aid measure’.
  • Life threatening case will be immediately referred to the nearest clinic/hospital.

12. Students should be toilet (potty) trained and independent of the teacher for assistance in personal hygiene.

13. Parents are expected to supply a clean change of clothes in their child’s bag each day.

14. Only of the prescribed prayers (Zuhr and Friday prayer) need to be accommodated by schools.

15. Zuhr prayer will normally perform together after lunch break during the school day.

16. The ‘Asr prayer does not coincide with the school hour. However, Asr prayer will be performed depending on the current prayer time.

17. Only Primary 5 and Primary 6 will be taken to the Friday Prayer and for the Primary 4 will be periodic basis (depend on the student discipline) due to safety reason.

18. Please be prompt sending and picking up your child.

19. Rizq Islamic School willing to accommodate this on a limited basis when prior arrangements are made. In these situations a grace period of 6:30 am before the school's 8:00 am opening time or after the school's at 6:30 pm closing time will apply, at no additional charge.

20. However, overtime rates apply under the following circumstances:

  • If care is needed after the grace period up to 6.30 p.m.
  • If a child is on the premises during the grace period without prior arrangements.
